This dictionary includes many words not found in Webster's. It is unique to Camp Winaukee. Surprising as it may seem, every Winaukee camper knows the meaning of each of these words.

Bar Harbor: Name given to the sailing cove at Winaukee
The Barge: The large floating ferry used to take supplies and objects over to the Island
Boccie Ball: An ltalian game played like shuffle board
Bombardment: Fun game, much like Dodge-Ball, played at Winaukee
Break-Out: The beginning of color war
The Brick: One of the yachts used to sail The Mighty Winnepesaukee (Psst; it's the slowest out of the three!)
Bug Juice*: Refer to "Punch"

Canteen: Our storehouse for toiletries and treats
Chief of Zunies: Head referee of Tribal War Games
Color War: End of camp activities when the campers are divided into Buff and Blue for spirited competition in all sports

Eagle Rock: The huge boulder in the middle of campus

Hubba-Hubba: Phrase used at Winaukee which means "Hurry Up!" Also the name of Winaukee's sixteen passenger cruise boat

Pearson: One of the fastest sailing yachts on the lake
Pier 19: Place where campers go to get snacks and ice cream
Polar Bear: The counselor or administrator chosen by the campers to jump in the lake during the daily Polar Bear Club meetings
Punch*: A favorite camp fruit drink; also sometimes called "Bug Juice"

Rack and Stack: Pile up the plates and silverware at the end of the meal
Rafter Ball: A game played in the bunks; similar to volleyball
The Reservation: Campsite located at the end of the Winaukee Island
The Rock: What all veteran Islanders call the Winaukee Island Camp

Senior Row: The oldest boys on the Mainland
Sobel Dome: Name given to the Winaukee Indoor Sports Center

Tatoo: Sound of bugle 20 minutes before taps. Campers must get ready for bed at this time
Taps: The signal that the day is officially over
Tribal War: Takes place each Sunday in camp; all campers are on a tribe

Warriors: The Camp Winaukee full-contact Lacrosse Club
Whalers: The Camp Winaukee swim team
The Wilderness: Campsite located in the middle of Winaukee Island
Winaukee Cruiser: The name given to the 37-foot Pontoon Boat used to transport campers all over Lake Winnipesaukee
Winaukee Hook Line and Sinker: TheWinaukee fishing boat outfitted for day, evening and overnight adventures
Winaukee Pride: That special feeling that each camper has when they compete for Winaukee
